Parent and Toddler

We meet every Monday during term time, from 1.15pm to 2.45pm, in the Parish Room.  We look to provide a place of fellowship, where parents can chat and toddlers interact.  We provide a variety of toys, puzzles and books, along with a weekly craft activity.  After our refreshment time, we enjoy a story and lots of action songs, with the use of ribbon wands, musical instruments and parachute.  We also have a monthly library session, when books are available for toddlers to borrow.

Our toddler team responsible for setting up, welcoming, organising and overseeing activities comprises of Carol, Karen, Rachel, Rita and Sandra.  Our other crucial part of the team are Miriam and Muriel, who provide the refreshments.

During 2015/2016 we had our Christmas party, with a visit from Santa and toddlers gathered around the crib, listening to the nativity story. We have enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in church and have also followed a Beatrix Potter trail around the church. We were blessed with a lovely, sunny day for our summer outing to Africa Alive where, in addition to seeing many amazing animals, we had a train ride and saw the African Zulu dancers.

The ages of our children range from newborn to 4 years.  It has been lovely to see more Dads involved in the group, as well as grandparents. We make a weekly charge of £1.50 per family, to cover costs.
