Schools' Work
We have two primary schools in the parish- Grove Primary School and Carlton Colville Primary School. The children visit St Peter's for services at Harvest, Christmas and Easter. The Rector and the Lay Minister also visit the schools regularly to lead Assemblies and to help with the delivery of some aspects of the RE curriculum.
Services at Carlton Hall and Carlton Court
Once a month a team from St Peter’s led by Sharon our Authorised Pastoral Assistant visits Carlton Hall and also Carlton Court Hospital to lead a service. We sing hymns and share a reading from the Bible.
Carols at the Crib at the Transport Museum
This has become a tradition which began during covid. Taking a knitted Nativity set, a group of people from the church tell the Christmas story, with the help of the children who help place the figures in the manger. The Transport Museum stays open a bit later so that everyone can enjoy a free ride on the tram and trolley bus.
We have a good relationship with the 2nd Carlton Colville scout groups. They attend church services for Remembrance and hold their own Carol service at Christmas.
